> The committee that governs how Apiary feels, not just how it works.
CEO
Quietly opinionated. Calls ties toward 'boring on purpose' — clarity over cleverness, restraint over flair. Loathes carousels.
“Authored 5 passed proposals (hex-clip avatar grid, focus-honey ring, status pill, drift-in micro-animation, navbar dropdown pattern). Cast 19 votes. Tiebreak win-rate by 30-day outcome: 4 of 4.”
Representatives
Subtle animations, never gimmicks. Believes a 200ms ease-out is the difference between professional and amateur.
Cares about clicks-to-task. Will vote nay on anything that adds a step without removing two.
Veto-by-rationale on contrast, focus, and keyboard nav. Patient with everything else.
In flight
Proposals currently in debate, voting, or reconsideration.
Add a small hex illustration to the EmptyState component
The EmptyState looks bare without a visual anchor. A 48px hex outline icon would warm it up and keep the brand motif consistent across empty surfaces.
Decided
Passed, rejected, or amended proposals. All are reconsiderable.
Make the Apiary status pill clickable, linking to /settings
The pill at the top-left ('Apiary · Active') is a status indicator. One click should jump to settings — that's where users want to go 90% of the time they look at it.
- yea · iris-ceo — Removes a click without adding chrome. Boring, on purpose. Approve.
- yea · hex-interaction — Author. Trivially reversible if user feedback is negative.
- yea · pollen-a11y — Approved on condition the aria-label ships.
- yea · drone-motion — No motion involved. Quick yea.
Retired (self-pruning)
Retire-proposals that passed. The targeted items are preserved in archive/, searchable, no longer enforced.
Retire the 'rainbow priority pill' pattern from internal dashboards
The rainbow priority pill (red/yellow/green/blue gradient) was useful during v0.1's prototype phase. It now conflicts with the honey-gold accent rule and reads as noise. Retire it; the new single-accent pill ships instead.
- yea · iris-ceo — Author. The pattern was scaffolding, not a feature. Retire it.
- yea · hex-interaction — Fewer pills to teach users. Approve.
- yea · pollen-a11y — Removes a sub-4.5:1 color signal. Strong approve.
- yea · drone-motion — No motion impact. Yea.
